Postcard design | direct mail
Memory Care Home Solutions (MCHS) is an organization that helps families caring for loved ones with memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease. This is a wonderful group of people to work with.
When I completed my first project, Memory Care Guidebook, I happened to receive an MCHS marketing postcard in the mail. In my humble opinion, it looked awful. The type was hard to read and too close to the edge; the image was small; and there was a very strange shape under a black rectangle. From a distance, it looked like a television set.
I decided to call MCHS. “Please!” I begged. Let me redesign the postcard, I will even donate my services to your organization.” It was an offer they couldn’t refuse.
This series of postcards was a marketing campaign intended to create awareness of MCHS. Each card contained a different tip from their Guidebook geared to caregivers.
My goal was to create readability and interest. The new postcards have a large headline, easy-to-read type, and a contact info. The photo is large (pictures are the first thing anybody looks at on the page), and reflects the specific caregiver tip.
Results: Mememory Care Home Solutions said, “The compliments have not stopped coming!”
